Welcome to Our Club
We invite YOU to join us for lunch at 12:30pm on the 2nd or 4th Tuesday each month. Our Club meets at the Hilton Garden Inn Central, 1330 N. Blairstone Road.
You will meet a group of professionals and business owners who join together to network, socialize and learn about important issues in our community. Our lunch presenters ranged from Bill Schack founder of Inclusion Cafe to Vanessa Rowe, Executive Director Tallahassee Village Square.
Our Club contributes to and participates in community service projects. We serve food at the Kearney Center for the homeless, serve meals and ring the bell for the Salvation Army, make lunch for Hands Helping Anglers and provide clothing for the homeless through the Kearney Center, the Leon County Sheriff’s Department, and The Salvation Army. We also support The North Florida Rotary Youth Camp in Defuniak Springs. Capital Rotary established the Dr. Samuel Meyer Scholarship at Tallahassee Community College to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior from a Leon county high school who took part in school activities and within the community.
We are part of an international network of over 1.4 million members of 46,000 clubs worldwide, and in conjunction with other clubs, help build water wells and sanitation systems as well as provide school supplies in other countries. The Rotary Foundation has contributed $40 billion to service projects around the world. Rotary has contributed more than $2.6 billion to fight polio, including matching funds from the Gates Foundation, and countless volunteer hours since launching it’s polio eradication program, PolioPlus, in 1985. Thru Polio Plus, Rotary and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have almost eliminated polio.
Join us, and have an opportunity to network and provide service to others along with business professionals here and in other countries. You’ll gain important leadership skills, make friends and serve your neighbors, both at home and abroad.
